Lake Washington PTSA Council 2.8
These goals have been established for the 2009-2010 PTSA year:
1: Conduct efficient, meaningful and informative Lake Washington PTSA Council meetings
· Implement organized and streamlined agendas
· Respect time commitments and limitations
2: Strengthen the partnership between PTSA, the school district and our community
· Encourage open communication between the school district, PTSA and related organizations
· Work in partnership with the district and other organizations toward common goals
3: Provide workshops and trainings that meet the needs of our local units
· Encourage attendance at Region 2 and WA State PTA trainings
· Provide local training opportunities for our PTSA leaders and members
4: Fulfill the resource role of a council by providing information and support to the leaders and members of our local units
· Promote leadership opportunities
· Encourage participation at the council level
5: Provide effective communication between National, State, Council and Local Units
· Maintain an informative and up-to-date web site
· Promote idea-sharing and networking through our newsletter
· Create a strong connection between local units and PTSA Council through the Area Vice-presidents
